Always packed with tourists and deservedly so. Many street performers and tourist sites nearby, so this turns into a great gathering place.

Bright, open with great buidlings yet plenty of public transportation. Very nice shops and restaurants.
The Old town square is the meeting point for everything. The square is always buzzing day and night. There are street performers in abundance, and many of the city's orientation tours start from here. The architecture is a great delight to the eye, and of course there is the Astronomical Clock, which draws a crowd every hour on the hour...

On a recent visit to Old Town Square in Parague we were enchanted to watch the Astronomical Clock as it's figures(the Apostles) shuffle past the two top windows. The powder pink facade of the Town Hall forms an entrance to this area. Many places to eat, have a coffee and lots of nice little shops to window shop or buy....

A beautiful square with bustling cafes and lovely shops. Prince U cafe/ restaurant is a reliable place to eat and drink and the prices won't make your eyes water. There are a few good jewellers selling Czech garnet in great, unusual designs and lots of stylish amber pieces too.
wandered over to the Square our first evening in Prague.there was a concert going on and a japanese bride and groom dancing to the music.what a destination wedding!plenty of small food booths near the square to pick up a sausage and a beer and plenty of people watching to do.

A really beautiful square with georgous buildings and bustling with people. A great place to start exploring Prague. There are also plenty of cafes and restaurants there although we didn't eat at any of them.
It is full of resturants and bars and very touristic, but this is because it is a fantastic place to stop and enjoy the amazing architecture in the area. A great place to enjoy all the lively entertainment that happens in the square.
