This Bullring is where it all started, and the oldest in Andalucia. Ronda is a beautiful area, and should be included on every roadtrip. When you pass through the gates, you feel like a superstar, and you can understand why this past time is so popular. I visited when no bull fighting was on, so i really had the place... More

Málaga's bullring stands at the foot of the hill upon which the Gibralfaro stands, and at the end of the charming Paseo del Parque. Whilst it has little architectural interest per se, it nevertheless hosts some of Spain's finest matadors during the annual August feria.

I could not shake the feeling that every bull who was slaughtered here for sport was near me and crying. The museum tries to justify the tradition. But how can you? There's also a very impressive museum of horse livery. Unfortunately, it only underscores our history of abusing animals. It's a very powerful experience.

You can't miss this if you come to Ronda. I'm no fan of bull-fighting, but this is an amazing building with interesting exhibits in the basement. You are allowed to wander all over the building, from the sandy bullring to the highest level of seats. It is a great photo-opportunity. A great slice of classical Spain, whatever your view of... You must take the audio if you don't speak Spanish. Whilst we found the audio a little difficult to follow in terms of knowing where you were in relation to each exhibit, the information is really interesting and well done. You get to see and learn about the horses, the bulls and the people involved in a bull fight. The... More

We loved our visit to the bullring and especially appreciated the museum and the historical perspective it provided on bullfighting.

You must see the first bull ring of the modern history of the bull-fighting. The place where all started, the bull-fighting become a mastery. Is not a coincidence that in the same place is located "Real Maestranza de Caballeria". You must see the ring, but don't miss the museum...

You may not agree with bullfighting, but taking the audio tour of this venue gives you a unique insight into the sport and a view of a really wonderful historic building

I only visited this place because someone I was with was really keen. It was well worth the visit there is a lot to see. The museum is really interesting. To my surprise I loved the section on guns and the gruesome and occasionally funny history of duelling also the exhibition of posters. The arena and the service areas are... More

I disagree with some of the things said; yes it is an empty bull stadium but what to expect off season? I think the small museum and the tour gives a good insight in the effort and glory that goes into these events. You are able to walk the grounds where famous bullfights have been fought. Pricy, a bit, but... More
