There's a crude Spanish word..."c. .o"... Which I won't translate, and it's the traditional exclamation for anyone seeing see El Tajo for the first time. As you approach the Cliff look down at the ground, then look up when you reach the railings. Then, you'll know what the translation is!!!... Hard to believe that such a feature exists in the... More

The bridge is wonderful. It's also a nice area to walk around. There's supposed to be a trail, but there are no directions at all. We ended up going to dead ends or simply the wrong way many times. Fortunately we met some people that had a little brochure that gave some directions. But even with the brochure, it was... More

This elegant bridge spans the gorge which dissects Ronda, and forms an excellent viewpoint to see both the rock formations at the bottom, and the countryside beyond. The architect who built it lost his life whilst reaching for his hat which had blown off as he leaned over the edge to admire his handiwork.

Hemingway spent a lot of time here. It's the center of Bullfighting. One of the oldest places in Spain with a bullring. It also happens to be extremely high and is a great place for honeymooners to take pictures. This bridge is the reason people come here now. You can see it from the top or the bottom. To see... More

Looking out over the Tajo is a treat both during the day when you can enjoy the masterful views or at night when it is beautifully lit. A wonderful alternative view of Spain.

This really is remarkable. How was it built? People were so taken by this bridge over the gorge that they were standing in the traffic to take photos. The road to get here is long and winding, not for the faint of heart. If you are at all uncomfortable driving on narrow winding roads find another way to get there.... More

While working in Rota Spain, (Another good place to visit, if I may say so) I took a little drive to Ronda.Only about 100 miles, so you can make it in about 1.5 hours. The drive is lovely. The destination in incredible. The city seems to be famous for the bridge, El Tajo, with incredible views from the top, and... More
