Absolutely brilliant course, location and condition - difficult to better this anywhere in the world. the stunning holes just get better and better until the pinnacle of the last three which are testing to say the least. This is a must play course on the Algarve.

This was the 3rd year we have played the course and look forward to it as the highlight of our golfing holiday organized by the excellent golfbreaks. Some long holes and water challenges. Particularly stunning around the estuary, you need to hit straight to keep out of trouble. We didn't think the course was quite as well maintained as usual.... More

I have now played San lorenzo 30 times over the last 10 years. If there is a more beautiful course anywhere, I have yet to play it. San Lorenzo has a mixture of holes, some very tough (6, 7, 8) and others not so (1,2 3). The biggest problem is trying to concentrate on the golf with the beauty of... More

Brilliant course with a tricky 18th, great golf shop, lovely bar with terrace overlooking the 10th. Lots of water, but doesn't really come into play if you hit the ball straight. Some outstanding ocean views from the course.

we loved this course, accommodating but very challenging. Beautiful holes along the water, glad we played it. Thanks to Seamus at golfexperience.net for setting up a great 2 week golf tour for our party of 8.

Beautiful, beautiful course - so many great holes. Always in excellent condition. Buggies are allowed on fairways, which is important to many older golfers.

We've just renewed our acquaintance with this tremendous golf course after a period of seven years and fond memories have been resurrected. The course is superbly maintained and provides a real challenge for amateur golfers. Like the affiliated Doña Filipa hotel the buildings and infrastructure are in need of investment and a serious upgrade.

Played here 12th and 13th April with friends. Although played the course many times over the years the was the first time since 2007.so I was quite looking forward to my return and see if it was as good as what I remembered. You cannot deny that this track is one of the best layouts in EUROPE. With various tee... More

Nice course, well set out with some good holes (16, 17 & 18 are all water holes, be prepared to lose balls). Holes 7, 8 & 9 all have views over the sea/nature reserve. A good mix of par 3, 4 & 5. It is a an enjoyable course to play and a good test of golf. However, doesn't appear... More
