The falls was great specially after a rainy season. Its a bit of stairs but worth it for sure. It worth a visit but not a full day for sure, just a 1 hour stop.
The falls are easy enough to drive to and were pretty spectacular during a wet period. Access is via stone and timber steps. There are two viewing platforms the highest easy to get to and from. Unless you are very fit I would not suggest you take the lower path. There are approx 300 steps straight up from the base... More
We'll worth a visit.the falls are just outside Lorne. Although there are no facilities the walk down to the falls are well worth a visit. You can go on and walk by the side of the river but will need some proper foot wear.
If you want to see this waterfall and you're fit and able the best way to see it is to do the 14km return hike up the river from Lorne. Fantastic walk with a rewarding view at the end.
Lots of stairs but well worth the effort - just don't rush your visit and all will be well. Lovely waterfall can be viewed from parking lot lookout as well so if you can't manage them you can still view the falls from the top.
Beautiful waterfall, makes for some fantastic photography! Not sure about the complaint of the long walk - it's 80m to the top view and 220 to the bottom view - not long at all! Would definitely recommend as a stop over :)
We were driving from Melbourne Airport to Apollo Bay for our first overnight stay in Australia. We made the detour from the Great Ocean Road to view the not so impressive small falls. It's a longish walk as well. I didn't take many photos so on that basis at best average.
Nice waterfalls, easy to get to. Having just had our esky stolen from the caravan park in Lorne I was reluctant to leave our campervan unattended. At least there was a sign on approach warning you not to leave valuables in your car. Obviously there is a criminal element in this place.
Walk to first viewing area was ok to do and good sighting of the falls. My partner went further on and said that it was very steep.
Lovely downhill walk to the falls. Quite a few steps to navigate. Some resting stops are provided. Good car parking.
