Stumbled across a café here and had a light lunch sitting outside overlooking the harbour - fantastic. The only 'gripe' is we were the only 2 in the café ordering a meal and the waitress 'forgot' our coffees as she said she had too much on her mind.

We came here to just catch the ferry to island. Nothing really to do here but watch the boats beautiful views and water. Nice to see once then that's it. Need to pay for parking $7.00 day
We went out to Shute habour to have a look and see the scenery, would be an amazing place to live with the houses on the side of the cliff amazing. When driving into Shute Harbour from Airlie Beach, the first thing that greets you is the amazing water colour. It is something that will stay in your memory for eternity. Drive on up to the look out for the best view, out to the Whitsunday passage and islands. Shute Harbour itself has tour operators, which is convienient if you would...

Sadly lonely and becoming very dated, much understood with Abel Point and the soon to be opened Port of Airlie Marinas now the tourist focus
We drove to Shute Harbour which used to be buzzing many years ago. Now, it is almost dead. Planes either go to Proserpine or Hamilton Island. Boats go to Hamilton or Airlie. Some boats leave from Shute, but not many these days.
its worth a little visit. It is beutiful and if you like to fish its really good at shute Harbour. its really good
visited here for some of our ferry trips .staff very helpful ,not a great deal here to look at just the begining of exellent boat trips.
The door to paradise, there are so many separate choices for holiday makers. I recommend the yacht sailing as a passenger so you can enjoy the view, the champagne and the seafood.
Information centre, cafe, relaxing atmosphere. Good place to launch a boat, however limited trailer parking - noticed trailers parked up to 1.5km from the boat ramp. Paid parking available for cars.
