Two thumbs down to Ocean Rafting for spoiling what could have been a memorable trip. I personally addressed my dissatisfaction with the operations manager Mr. Ernst who response was completely in compassionate. I have also written to the MD Mr. Claxton without response. I believe that unfortunately in this case greed overtook common sense.

Ocean Rafting visits the “Wild Side” of the Whitsunday Islands, the uninhabited islands with beautiful natural scenery brimming with marine, bird and animal life. There are two exciting tour options, the Northern Exposure and Southern Lights, and each Ocean Rafting day includes an exhilarating ride to Whitehaven Beach, pristine snorkelling reefs and guided Whitsunday Island National Parks walks. Ocean Rafting is the only tour to have direct access to the stunning and iconic Hill Inlet beach, and special snorkel sites at Hook Island and Border Island ensure a memorable underwater experience.The semi rigid inflatable vessels are super fast allowing guests to experience a fun ride, adventure and education amongst the natural beauty of the Whitsundays. The vessels were originally designed and built as rescue crafts and are driven by 450hp engines. 70% of the vessel is shaded, providing comfort from the tropical sun. Small groups allow guests to experience tropical paradise away from the crowds.Ocean Rafting has been operating since 1997 and is proud to have special permits allowing its vessels to visit protected areas in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. The Skipper and Eco Host will ensure guests have a fun filled adventure and personalised service, from the courtesy bus pick up in the morning to snorkel lessons and a guided National Park walk in the Whitsunday Islands.

Thank you for your feedback. Whilst we agree that the weather conditions were not at all ideal on the day you travelled, Ocean Rafting was extremely diligent in advising guests several times prior to departure of weather conditions expected that day. We had an unbelieveable day with the Ocean Rafting team to the WhitSunday area and Whitehaven beach.They made sure we were safe,well fed,well informed and that they educated us on all we saw and they educated us in taking care of the coral reef as well. A must to do if you are in this area.

We had a great day trip with Will & Sarah. All the staff at Ocean Rafting are really upbeat and look like they love their jobs. Just the boat ride alone was exhilarating and Whitehaven beach is beautiful, we saw a small reef shark and sting rays. Loads of soldier crabs.

We had a brilliant day doing the North trip(the South trip only has one snorkel stop). Tim and Mary were excellent guides and could not have been more helpful. The two snorkelling stops were great and we were not rushed to get out of the water.

I did both tours and it was well worth the money! The snorkelling spots are fantastic and guide (I had Nathan on both trips) was funny and informative. I also had the lunch which was yummy and plenty to go around. I would recommend it to anyone and would go again if I'm ever to go back!

My husband and I had such an amazing time when we went Ocean Rafting in mid April with Cam on Jammin'. Both Cam and the driver were knowledgeable and friendly and made sure that everyone was having a great time. The weather was perfect, so that helped!
