If you can, book the Milford Mariner. The cabins are immaculate, the food exceptional, the crew awesome and the experience one not to be missed!!!

I wasn't prepared for the sheer beauty of Milford Sound or the drive there, from Te Anau. I put the scenery on a par with parts of Alaska, Yosemite and the Canadian Rockies. You can't visit the South Island without doing this trip

We chose to drive to Milford Sound and also decided to take the 9am sailing, which was the earliest. It was a quiet drive with wonderful views and plenty of time to stop at 3 attractions on the way. On the journey back (which was much busier but 90% of the traffic was heading towards Milford Sound) we stopped twice...

We were there after it had rained for several days and the hillsides were covered with waterfalls.it was truly magical.we have seen a number of fiords in Norway and Canada but this place is very different and not to be missed.

The views are awe inspiring every side your heads on a swivel the waterfalls you see 1,2,3,4,5,6, the ferry takes you right up to the larger ones a video camera is a must

Milford Sound can be visited using one of the cruises proposed by the operators. You need to go from Te Anau by car/bus to the boat terminal, where you have all information. Many departures during the day and you have also night cruises. The cruise is a roughly a trip to Tasman Sea and back when to can see the...

This place is heaven on earth. Surrounded by picture perfect scenery, snow capped peaks, waterfalls and marine life you simply do not want to miss this place on your visit to South Island. Even the drive to this place is unbelievable, straight out of the movies. Need to be cautious on the turns and the road gets a bit busy...

A unique experience to cruise along this gorgeous fiord. We happened apon a perfect day weatherwise but even if it rained , it would be beautiful with its hundreds of waterfalls. Did not see many mammals except a few seals on the rocks.
