We had wonderful weather and a wonderful tramp on the Kepler Track. Highly recommend you walk to Luxmore hut first, then Iris Burn and out to Rainbow reach if you are fit. I wouldn't recommend doing it the other way. The walk from Control gates to Luxmore is actually very easy walking (except for those we passed who were clearly... More

This is a grewat way to see so much of the national park without having to drive yourself. Our tour guide was awesome, stopping regularly and filling us full of information. The coach was superb. well worth it. More

Recent trip to NZ and Fiordland National Park (Milford Sound). Stunning scenery, dramatic mountains and fiords. Well worth the journey to get there. More

We visited the Fiordland NP via a cruise ship (Dawn Princess). Travelled overnight from Dunedin and then onwards to Melbourne. Sailed through Dusky Sound, Doubtful Sound and finally Milford Sound. Milford is most impressive as it is narrower and with steeper sides and has waterfalls. We had fairly clear weather so you could see the tops of the mountains but... More

Amazing place with a lot of huge beech trees, which I love the most. We did not have good weather that day. The driving condition was not good in the rain. But I saw a lot of water falls. One pictures I took has more than 20 in it. More

Davey Gunn was a legend in the rugged Hollyford Valley of New Zealand's Fiordland National Park, from the mid 1930s to the mid 1950s, struggling to make a living from cattle farming, whilst still opening up this Valley to guided walks - and increasing the awareness of the region's beauty, to others. He is fondly remembered as the trampers friend.... More

I walked the Kepler Track with my family on 31 December 2010, starting at the Control Gates. Firstly we left the car in Te Anau with Safer Parking (excellent facility, cheap rates and very safe www.saferparking.co.nz ) and then took the Tracknet shuttle service from Te Anau to the Control Gates. We chose this route because it seemed easier!! The... More

I booked the most AMAZING guided walk/hike/tramp (whatever you like to call it) in FIORDLAND NATIONAL PARK, New Zealand. All the work was done for us, including food, equipment, transport and hut accommodation all provided. This was a 2 day walk operated by "ADVENTURE WALKS" which kicked off with a flight in a float plane from Gunns Camp into Martin's... More
