We visited with our adult children and grandchildren, Was great to see the little ones enjoying all the animals and the interaction with them. A fun time was had by everyone. A grat family outing for young and not so young. Would recommend for all ages easy access to all levels of fitness.

Great way to spend the morning. Kids get really close up with the animals and can feed them. Lots of animals to see, those unique to new zealand and others.

Enjoyable visit for the family, especially interaction with the various animals. We liked the way that the reserve was laid out: it made it easy for us to understand the different animal groups. Seeing the Kiwis was a definitely highlight - in my opinion the best viewing that we've experienced in New Zealand.

... pay the $5 extra for the Kiwi tour as it is well worth it! On your own, you are able to walk through several enclosures to see the wildlife, including wallabies, but the Kiwi tour gets you a well-informed guide and up-close visits with several of the animals including the Kea and the Kiwi (there is an extensive habitat... This attraction provided us with the opportunity to see Maori people in an old time village. We were able to actually see Kiwi birds up close and personal. This is a rare occurrence and as I learned many of the native New Zealanders have never seen a live Kiwi bird. We were favored with Maori dance lessons and entertainment and... More

The animals and birds are easy to get to and to see. The paths were a little wet underfoot when we went so best to choose your time to visit when the weather is good as there is not a lot of shelter.

We have a 3 and 5 year old and they love willowbank. The restaurant and shop area are fine, but the animals are the biggest hit, and we even saw our first Kiwi on our last visit. The highlights are the green ponds and loud animals. It's a great place, we are normally there 2 hours and it flys by.

This place is really cute with a great selection of wildlife. You are also guaranteed to see a kiwi (which you would struggle to do in the wild!).

I felt it was expensive for what was there although it would be easy to spend a full day there to make the most of it. The staff were nice enough but not exactly super welcoming. Some random animals but a large number of ducks so maybe save some money and just go to the park! I'd recommend also for... More
