We didn't go on it as didn't have time, but our hotel was right next to it, what a beautiful sight to wake up to each morning!
Rotorua is a small town in North island of NZ. The place is a popular weekend getaway for North Islanders. I lived in NZ for 2 years an rotorua was a favourite destination for me n my friends. The place is small but has a lot to offer...from relaxing by the lake to taking the gondola ride to the sulphur... More
Stopped and had a look while I was in Rotorua and found it interesting to visit. I am aware that I would have gotten a better pleasure from my visit to the lake by actually taking a cruise on it. I would recommend this for all visitors to do a cruise, rather than simply going lakeside

Lake Rotorua has a bit of everything; surely something to interest nearly everyone. It was raining when we were there. The rain stopped later that day and we had to opportunity to walk around a look at things. I am sure in warmer weather there would be a lot of people there. It is Beautiful.
I cycled around the lake, first time I have done it, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It provided a totally different perspective compared to by car. You see a different side to this lake. Its beautiful, volcanic, heaps of places to pick up food, ice creams etc.
