Very bubbly (no pun intended) hosts. After the tasting we spent a good hour over a bottle of wine and one of their heaving platters. Great food, good wine and very charming staff. Well worth a visit

Visiting from Tauranga, we decided on the platter for Mothers' Day lunch. John allowed us to sample several whites to match our tastes and have with the platter. What a wonderful experience sitting in the lovely surroundings in the Autumn sun. The platter and, especially the wines were superb. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Napier....

Embarrassingly enough after 7 years in Hawkes Bay we had never been to Church Road for a tasting , concerts yes but never the Cellar Door. Merlot was a funny guide with jokes and facts to share. He really knows his wine and gave a good tour of the factory and shared about its history. Great wine tasting as well, happy to have bought some home.
This is our second visit to The Church Road Winery and we have eaten outside each time - the first with Merlot and the second without him and he was missed. The platter we shared was very satisfying and whilst a bit of a hefty price, we still enjoyed it ate it all.
Great wine tasting, we had a bottle of wine with the platter under the trees and it was just perfect. Amazing selection with great wine - who could ask for more?
relaxed summer vineyard concert, with all the golden oldie hits.... happy concertgoers and no hassles!
Unlike many other wineries in the area, Church Road gives you a behind the scenes tour of their wine making facility, which is a blast! Even our little daughter enjoyed seeing all the gadgets and gizmos, and scents of course. The tour ends with a tasting of their best wines at the moment, which makes it totally worth the $15.
Had a brilliant day doing the wine tour and then tasting, followed by a huge platter for lunch with another bottle of wine. Tour guide was very helpful and passionate about what she does and about the whole wine making experience. Really enjoyed myself.
Take a tour of the wine process at the Church Road Winery and listen to the history along the way. This is an an amazing story and great display of wine making of the past and present.
Keep up the good work staff, it is a pleasure to visit you with our clients who choose to take our tour to...
