All the times that I have been there it has been inundated with drunken yobbos who curse you and then beg for money. Perhaps I went at the wrong times but as it was near where I worked it was easy to get to and sit for a while.
Even though the Harold Boas Gardens only occupy a relatively small block, they are quite lovely. Nice open lawns separate colourful garden beds and immense trees. A series of lakes and streams intersect the gardens and provide a nice centrepiece. A great place to enjoy a picnic and relax.
