We visited in May while on holiday in Melbourne. The entry fee is excessive, and at present they are renovating so lots of areas closed off to the public. The displays that were still available were OK but I wouldn't bother going again or recommending to visitors. Kelly Tarltons in Auckland or the Napier aquarium are both much better value.

I nearly died when I realised it was going to cost $91.50 for two adults and one 4 year old to enter! One adult ticket will set you back $35 while a child is $21.50. This is way over the top for just 90 minutes entertainment but to really rub salt into the wounds - many of the exhibits are... More

Visited in March 2013, the place was undergoing some sort of renovations... Should have had reduced prices as many things weren't able to be viewed. Little bit on the 'tired' side of things and limited things to see and do... The penguins are great - but those little critters suck you in with the sheer cuteness! How can anyone say... More

In march it was hot outside so I chose to visit C. I was solo but there were lots of children on tour to the Aquarium .I think that was the only + point otherwise it was nothing special and overly priced.

I had friends visiting from out of state and as the weather was cold and windy i thought what a better place to take the children and adults for an outing ......i was very wrong! firstly the cost compared to say the Melbourne zoo was so expensive but i thought oh well i am sure inside it is good. no... I've been twice and loved it but it is insanely expensive. You shouldn't have to pay more than $10 for what is there.

Booked tickets on-line not knowing that many of the exhibits would be closed. There is no mention on the web-site about this or even when you are entering. No info was given about when talks were happening...no info at all was given. If you wanted to anything "extra" like to look at the seahorse nursery it cost more. Surely looking... More

Granted there is construction taking place, but with the entry fee unchanged you assume the experience would last more than 30 mins. A fairly plain experience throughout, old and worn exhibits. Apart from the sharks and penguins the rest are no better than visiting your local pet store. I advise all to save your money and visit later in the... More

A great Family day out for all ages. So much to see and a lot to learn along the way. My favourite is the Penguins. So cute.

I was expecting a lot more, but by the end of the tour..we left feeling disapointed and sorry for the creatures living there. The aquarium is due to complete it renovations by September 2013, I think its much needed considering the time it took to walk through boarded up hallways and "a construction site". It all added to an almost... More
