Just like fairyland...so many flowers and trees and fountains. Also, dont miss the parrots that fly freely from tree to tree. And they seem to stay right in the park

Excellent gardens in harbourside location; the tropical glasshouse is an often overlooked attraction. The best place in Sydney for a leisurely stroll but avoid lunchtimes when hundreds of under- worked public servants descend to run through the gardens and annoy the patrons.

The Botanical Garden is great for those interested in plants, a casual stroll or picnic! It is a bit big so if you don't have a destination, you may get lost! However, there is a fabulous view of not only the Opera House but also the city!

If you don't have much knowledge of nature (Like me), it is best to take a tour around the Gardens. The best part? It is free. Just be outside the gift shop at 1030am on weekdays, and sign up at the volunteer tour booth. We were led by Russell, a very enthusiastic volunteer guide, who gave us insights of stories... More

Great gardens, perfectly located, enjoyed all of the palms, florals, and sculptured gardens. Easy to access from several major roadways. Within easy walk of harbour.

Found this great park just next to the Opera House. My first intentions were to visit the Opera House, but this park was far more interesting! Do come early as it get's bit crowded in the afternoon. Encounter many exotic trees, have your lunch on the grass, feed the lovely birds, have a nice view of the towers next to... More

A most beautiful walk, stunning scenery, the harbour at its best and the grass is enought to make you want to lay on it.

The Royal Botanic Gardens are lovely. You could easily spend all day wandering around and is perfect for a picnic or afternoon nap. They even have signs posted inviting you to take off your shoes, walk in the grass, etc.

The RBG is a beautiful park/garden in the center of many tourist attractions which makes it a nice "escape" in the city. It is easy to access and right near the Opera House. It is a great place to people watch, wander, or maybe even have a picnic. I found the signs indicating the layout of various parts of the... More
