Missing Manly since we're back in Germany. The Scenic Walkway is one of the most emotional impressions, I made during one year in Aussie-land ;-)
We took the local ferry to Manly and enjoyed the walkway as well as the beach. Stopped for lunch and then resumed our walk back to Manly for our ride back to Sydney on the ferry. A wonderful 6 hour day in the sunshine and beauty of Australia!
10km of loveliness. Great views of the water and great views of people on Many Beach too! (If you stop to swim or have a picnic, it'll take more than 3 hours but the time will just fly by!)
I do this walk at least annually with friends, you can't beat it for varying views, beach walking, climbing and there are some aboriginal rock engravings. One can get around easily, and there are many cafes and shops to browse around and enjoy just being there. The sea and beach is excellent.
If you like to experience the surrounding by walking, this well marked walk is highly recommendable! May be muddy when wet, but is still feasible and nice!
