Quick ferry with outside seating that passes the harbour bridge, opera house and circular quay, so a cheap way to see the sights from the water. Manly is definitely worth a visit... Less touristy and more chilled than Bondi.

Go for the views of the harbour, but don't expect too much of the ferries themselves. They are utilitarian means of transport, not pleasure cruisers, but on a nice day it's a trip well worth while and Manly is an interesting and, given its fame, surprising mix of old and modern.

Don´t miss the trip to Manly by ferry - it´s the best trip you can have through Port Jackson, passing all the bays, having the view on The Gap, finally visiting Manly with ist splendid beaches and restaurants. What a joy to spend a day in Sydney like this.

Peak hours can be crowded and best avoided but great way to see the harbour and spend a few hours in Manly. If the weather is warm-hot, the Manly beaches are worth spending time on.

Always an enjoyable trip. If you are short on time, get the next ferry back. Runs every 30 minutes or if you are really in a hurry there is a faster service. Costs a bit more

This is the best way to get to Manly for sightseeing, or go toTaronga zoo to spend the day. The service starts at Circular Quay, where you purchase your round trip ticket. The prices is very affordable, and service is good, and the fresh air esp in the morning is so refreshing. You will really appreciate the beauty of the Sydney... More

When visiting Sydney there is no cheaper way to get out on the water than to use the Manly Ferry commuter passenger ferry. Departing frequently from Circular Quay, this ferry route takes you all the way to Manly which is a fair distance from your departure point. The cost (return) is around $12, however it might be worth looking into... More

The ferry provided an inexpensive way to see the Harbour Bridge, the Opera House, and the Harbour itself. The ferry takes about a half hour each way, and it is just a few blocks from the ferry terminal to the beach itself (with shops, restaurants, and at least one grocery store along the way). Highly recommended
