A while ago I had friends visiting from Germany (I am living in County Kerry myself), and - as you would do - showing them around, we drove around in their hired car. Having had a look at the stunning stone circle just before Inchaquin, we were curious how the waterfall would look like from close up, but little did... More

We spent a half day here - great walk around the waterfall, picnic lunch and amazing views. The gardens had mushrooms, flowers and ground cover ( we took some beautiful photographs). If you have never seen peet harvested (cut from the ground) in black blocks, there is a spot on the top of the ridge where you can see this. More

We see sign at side of road for park. After long drive to entrance we were amazed by the waterfall. The caretaker came out to greet us. He showed us the map and walks. We took walk up by river and up mountainside to water fall. Definitely worth a visit More

Recommended by our B and B host, Marian O'Dwyer. Wasn't even on our radar prior to our stay in Kenmare but was clearly one of the highlights of our stay in Ireland. Aside from the falls, which are truly spectacular, the grounds along the stream trail are lovely and show a real attention to detail. My only regret...not spending enough... More

We signed onto Trip Advisor just today to see what other nearby things we shouldn't miss while in Kenmare and Glen Inchaquin Park popped up. So on a whim we went! What a pleasant surprise. Well worth the long, rambling road that is one lane and the 5 euro entrance fee once you arrive. Just to walk amongst the grazing... More

Beautiful secluded valley with a stunning waterfall and lakes. Added bonus of some archaeological sites and walking options. Only negative are the charges for the waterfall and stone circle separately. Look very unofficial - very off putting - why charge - nature is free! Feels a bit mean and unexpected, so out of the ordinary for the area. More
