Traveling through Ireland over the past few weeks, I kept hearing the same thing, " you must go to the Bushmills Distillery". Not being a whiskey fan, I was not overly enthused, however took some time to do the tour. What a great experience. The distillery is still fully operational which made our tour so much more interesting! Our guide... More

Having been a resident of Aberdeenshire for 34 years – missing a trip around another Whiskey distillery would not be a cause for loss of sleep. So, we didn’t take the distillery tour. However, we did have an enjoyable experience around the visitors centre/gift shop and a good lunch of Irish Stew in the café. The centre is interesting and... More

Wanted to stop for sampling, no real sampler options. Whiskey however is very good, but only tried the "Distillery Only" and an Irish Coffee.

I thought this tour was great. Not only do you get a shot of whiskey at the end but you get to tour a working distillery. The tour guide was very informative and did a great job. It cost 7 pounds per person and the tour last about 40 minutes.

Doesn't really show how the whiskey is made. We were taken to various areas and told what goes on, but on our tour there was no mash to see (although we could smell the results of the process) just the vats. The only thing that was in progress that we could see was the bottling. Interesting visit though.

Although my husband was initially reluctant to sign up for the tour, we both really enjoyed it & felt that we learned a lot during our visit. Certainly worth doing during a trip to Bushmills, Northern Ireland.

We visited this attraction after going to Giants Causeway. Interesting insight into how whiskey is produced, the storage, the ageing processes and why some are so expensive. I'm not a whiskey drinker so the shot at the end was wasted on me :-) Bought a bottle of the distillery reserve as a birthday present and it was much appreciated and... More

Reputed to be over 400 years old this whiskey distillery is the only (legal) one in Northern Ireland. It produces both malt and blended whiskey with most ingredients coming from Eire [Jamieson's distillery near Cork] - the water come from above! Good visitors centre and tours with choice of 'dram' at end. Shop with whiskey and other touristy things for... More
