Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very friendly staff. Well laid out and maintained gardens. We had pleasure of meeting Bob who is responsible for the sculptures. Well worth a visit for both young and old.

This place was a real wow ... have visited sensory gardens before but this is on another level. Beautifully and so impressively done. Loved it and the range of sensory experiences afforded. Highly highly recommended. Lovely cake and coffee too.

I visited the cafe on someone else's recommendation. The food is superb and the staff are lovely. I hope to return to check out the gardens and visit the cafe again.

What a delightful experience! Our Ireland trip was based around visiting as many Mary Reynold designed gardens as possilble; I was surprised to find that Mary had designed only one of the many gardens, "The Stolen Child" fairy garden. But that garden alone was worth the visit. The other gardens were fabulous for children, and we were traveling with our son, daughter-in-law, and five year old granddaughter. Children are encouraged to interact with water fountains, tree houses, a Celtic version of Chutes and Ladders, a large waterfall that you can walk behind/under, and a stone chess board with foot high pieces! It was a magical place and all generations of us had a wonderful time

Beautiful place - relaxing, interesting, very nicely architected set of unique gardens. The water features add interesting points and tranquility. Great opportunity to slow down, see the beautiful flowers, listen to birds and water. The entry fee is very reasonable. The coffee shop has great selection. Spent there about hour and a half, but would have stayed longer time permitting.

We were travelling back to Cork from Kildare and were looking for somewhere to break our journey. I looked up things to do in Carlow and the gardens popped up . Having read the information on the garden I could not wait to visit and I was not disappointed. I must say driving into the Strawhall Industial Estate one wonders where they are going ( my husband had a dubious look on his face) BUT having arrived and entered his reaction changed.I can see why the Delta Sensory Gardens are highly acclaimed award winning gardens and described as 'An Oasis of Peace and Tranquillity'. Staff here are so friendly. I was like a child, surprises around every corner and you could see visitors of all ages enjoying it all. Cafe Thyme serves delicious food which we enjoyed and I made a few purchases in the little gift shop. After something to eat we revisited the gardens. So worth supporting. Will definitely return here again. To quote my husband " it is a shame that it is so far away from us. Overall a wonderful experience.

These delightful gardens are a must for all ages, young and old. They are beautifully laid out and designed specifically to stimulate your senses including sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste! They appeal to all level of abilities and offer something to everyone! The gardens are divided into different sections and children will get lots of enjoyment exploring around them. There are little picnic areas with seats and benches dotted around the place and they even have a lovely little café.
The beautiful walkways are so tranquil it is hard to imagine you are so close to the town centre! I’d highly recommend this place, whether its for a once-off visit or regular trips to unwind and chill out for a while!
