Very nice lake, sweet town, good location for exploring the Black Forest area. We bought a cuckoo clock that was made right in town (the larger part of town about 5 min drive away), loved the vibe here.

The journey from Freiburg took us through the Black Forest. Then we finally reached our destination and what a beautiful sight it was. The small town which was located near the shore of Lake Titisee was well planned. There were restaurants, hotels, souvenir shops etc that catered well for the needs of tourists. Titisee is quite touristy so there are loads of restaurants and souvenir shops which I confess did tempt me in. You can hire a selection of different types of boat to take for a spin on the lake or board a waterbus for a half-hour round trip.
It's a small place but scenic, positioned as it is alongside the shores of Lake Titisee. I recommend the buffet at ther railway station, where excellent cakes can be obtained and reasonable prices from friendly staff.
I love to shop, so buying local products in the shops was great fun. The food is yummy and prices are very reasonable...
A beautiful lake! You should go to this lake if you go to Titisee-Neustadt.There boat trips and also boats you could rent.Nice cucu clocks are also in Titisee-Nestadt.You should visit this lake!
The village itself consists of lots of tourist shops and cafe's and restaurants. We went to one of the cafes to have some Black Forest Gateau and other German specialities.
The lake is very beautiful surrounded by mountains. In summer you can do boat rides and rent pedal boats.
Would recommend for tourists new to the area and the black...

Great when it's quiet, but can be a tourist trap with heavy traffic and no seats in cafes and restaurants at busy times. Camp sites and hotels etc nearby, or try a rowing boat...!!
Despite it being out of season there were coach loads of asiatics and it was fun to see all the shops selling the cuckoo clocks! The specialities of Black Forest ham and honey are very good!
