Genarro is the most amazing chef, bartender, dance partner, and host. There is no menu, rather you tell Genarro what you are in the mood for and based on what is fresh that day cooks you the most amazing meal of your life. His pasta, seafood, even steak were the best that I've had EVER! I traveled alone during this... More

A local suggested we go here for a meal. Gennaro (I think owner) has fresh food from local market. No menu, but ask what he has available. We picked our fish and he cooked us pasta with vegetables and fish. There are only about 6 tables and Vivaro gets popular later. Get there before 9 if you want to sit... More

A work colleague had recommended this wine bar a few weeks before our trip and I had read the reviews. I must admit the first night in Praiano we walked past and were a little unsure as there was no menu, what a mistake! We went in the following night, sat down, let Gennaro choose our wine, he asked if... More

Loved visiting Vivaro. If you stay in Praiano it's a must! The owner is so cool and the place itself can change with who all is there and what is going on that evening. We did dinner and it was light and tasty with great wine pairings. On other evenings we stopped in after dinner for drinks. The town is... More

Gennaro, the owner, picked a fabulous bottle of wine for us, served it with enough food that the three of us could've called it dinner (light in quantity considering all the food we are getting at meals here in Praiano, but sufficient nonetheless). More

We ate here 5 nights because it was both a combination of fun and spectacular homemade food. Gennaro makes what is fresh. From great wine choices to the best seafood pasta ever to fresh sesame coated tuna and fresh artistic fruit plates you cannot go wrong. He does everything - cooks, cleans, bartends, sets and clears the tables - his... More

A fantastic place where you will be served very good food and excellent wine. Gennaro, the owner, does everything to make you happy. It is also the place to go if you want to meet other tourists or the local people. That´s because of the atmosphere in this place - it is so easy to get in touch with people.... More

Gennaro treated us like mates, a wonderful place,it felt just like going to a friends house who is a great cook, sit down, pour a glass of wine from a bottle open on the bar, and the rest just happens, Gennaro will make sure you are well looked after, just tell him what you feel like, fish, or meat! and... My wife and I stayed in Praiano for a week and came across this lovely little bar/restaurant on our 3rd night. We saved our return visit for our last night. This is a small bar on the main street in the town with a fantastic chill-out vibe and a wonderful view. Gennaro, who we found to be a wonderful host,... More
