My husband and I could not believe how this AMAZING place has very few people and no guards ! We were free to go everywhere and I even climbed up on a pedestal and had my photo taken ! Try that in the Coliseum ! Not much else is exciting in Pozzuoli other than seeing Cumae and Solfitara .

This is a massive Roman amphitheatre, which had a seating capacity of 40,000. It is the third largest (the largest being at Rome). The bonus here is that you can appreciate it with hardly any fellow tourists, so can go down below to the underground where the caged animals (lions etc) and equipment were stored and get a feeling of...
