We visited this on a wet day, expecting to kill about half an hour. In fact we spent well over 2 hours there. There is an excellent interactive display of the nature and geology of the area, lovely views and information on Goethe and the history of the area. Well worth a visit

If visiting or staying in Malcesine, visit the small castle, it a wonderful way to see the town, lake and old red roof tops from the tower. There is a lovely side area that is set out for a wedding, and if I can convince my partner to tie the knot, it will have to be here, it is magical.... More

Small but very nice and in good condition castel, with great view on the lake, for sure go to the tower on the top. Some very interesting multimedia shows, some very interesting things to see, definitly worth to visit, very interesting for children.

we got married on the top of Malcesine Castle, it was amazing. It rained all week but on the day of he wedding the sun came out and it was glorious...beautiful views and totally mesmerising.. we have been to the castle on three occasions now and i will still go back. Beautiful!!!

It is worth going uphill through the charming, pebble covered narrow alleys to get inside the castle for the view over Lake Garda is mesmerising.
