We sat on the hardest chairs in Driffield for 2 hours with 35-40 other people. During this time we received along with the talk - five what can only be described as canapes sized samples of tapas and five half glasses of very nice wine. The canapes were served into a paper serviette with one exception which was on a... More

We saddened to read that the evening did not live up to your expectations. Our demonstration evenings are designed to be informative, fun and give our guests, as advertised, samples of all the dishes demonstrated by the chef. We are sorry that you left hungry but the evenings are to give you a flavour of the food and not to... More

What a lovely evening! Enjoyed a great informative evening watching Ali (resident chef) preparing innovative tapas using all local products and Peter (wine expert - Field and Fawcett) sharing his expertise in matching wine to the tapas. The tapas were extremely tasty and the wines were expertly matched. A very friendly atmosphere. Recommend! Guess what I am doing tonight -... More

I attended a day at the cookery school preparing a dinner party. The day was well thought out, and the ingedients we used had been adapted to the individuals needs where necessary. The kitchen was beautifully laid out and easy to use and the ingredients top local produce. The instruction was clear and professional while maintaining a relaxed, supportive, informal... More

I feel that we are so lucky to have this Cookery School in East Yorkshire. I have thoroughly enjoyed the four courses I have attended which have been varied in content and consistent in quality. It does not matter what level of cookery skills you have, the tutors will help you learn as much as possible. The recipes combine and... More

I attended the Yorkshire born and bred course with my sister. I've always wanted to go to a cookery school and this lived up to all expectations. On arrival we were greeted with hot drinks and delicious little cakes and it was a nice way of all the attendees to introduce themselves in a relaxing atmosphere. We were met by... More

I would say it was the most delightful experience. The rooms warm, spacious and spotless . Breakfast, delightful, fresh and delicious. The cookery school itself , well designed with top class equipment and tools and plenty of them, the cookers were fantastic. The supplied ingredients were of the highest quality (I should know having spent 40+ years in the meat... More

I booked to attend this course after receiving vouchers as part of a Christmas present in 2011. I felt quite nervous about attending, although I have been cooking for family and friends for about 40 plus years! I need not have worried as the staff were lovely. Our tutor, Ali was superb, explaining everything as she was demonstrating, giving tips... More

I booked to attend a vegetarian course which was led by tutor Linda. We cooked a three course meal with good quality ingredients sourced locally which I found ethically sound.Linda had years of culinary experience which she passed on to the group in terms of her skills and tips which were really useful. As usual I learnt a lot and... More

A second excellent day at the Cookery School! This time a Greek focus, and we came away with 8 portions of a 3 course meal, 4 of which were the basis of a brilliantmeal with friends last night. The whole day is superb - excellent tuition in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, top quality ingredients and no washing up! Lunch... More

Having struggled to find a residential to complete my Gold Duke of Edinburgh I was pleased to find this course online. I wasn't really sure what to expect but I was delighted to arrive and find a wonderful set-up. The kitchen was superb, hi-tech but easy to use even for a total beginner. The accommodation was amazing, to a hotel... More
