Stunning views of Stephensdom with masses of shops (and tourists). Great central location with subway hub to all of Vienna.

This is a lovely little area around the Cathedral and with good shopping. The horses and carriages are a bonus and worth the ride. Even though very expensive. It is a do once idea. Set price and no negotiations.

We enjoyed this area so much that each night we went back either to eat or shop. The food and vendors kiosk around St Stephan's were excellent! The historical area just wonderful!

This area and for blocks around is interesting to look at. Buildings and people. Look for the little details in the architecture. I found that it is like little secrets.

The area around Stephansplatz is the very old section of Vienna, with winding streets, and all the mystery and charm of an ancient city. You have to go because this is old Vienna, but crowded and full of guys trying to sell you concert tickets and souvenir shops.

The church was amazing. The plaza was very busy as some sort of local event was occurring. We really enjoyed St Peter and the organ concert which was just down the street.

The square is terrible. You cannot evaluate the beauty of the Stephansdom because the square which is supposed to be wide is blocked with modern buildings which contain fashion shops and other junk. Has some nice stores here and even better cafes. Be prepared to pay a little more than the average going rates.
