Free concerts at 11 am, with mass. Heard Mozart's sublime Kroningmesse K.317, here with v.g. Choir and orchestra seated high up at organ loft. A gothic interior, with modern chandeliers that really stand out as out of place.

Happened on this church on our first full days visit , a Sunday and 1000 Mass had just started. Couldn't get a seat , but the sound at the back of the church was wonderful , i'd say the best free music in Vienna , and a real great start to our visit.
From the outside, you wouldn't know there was anything special inside, but it is so beautiful! Interesting momument to Maria Christina (?) and also storage of the royal families hearts... definitely stop in
Attended a wonderful sung Haydn high mass. Amazing orchestra, soprano and organ music. Arrived there at 10.45, 15 minutes early. and we were lucky to get seats..The music was of the highest quality. Just remember to dress warm because the church is very cold.
whenever you are in Vienna or nearby dont miss their sun-holydayservices at 11am you have to be there 20-3ß minutes before to get a seat since the concerts are free the expect a contribution 5-10 Euros afterwards but believe me its worth more you can see their program on the web-kirchenkonzert.at

St. Augie's...

The Augustinekirche is easy to miss. It has a small entrance within the Hofburg Palace complex, next to the side entrance of the National library.
As with other Catholic churches in Vienna, this church is uncomfortably cold. (Heating and Catholic churches just don't go together). I did not remove my coat or my gloves. Otherwise, I would have frozen to...

Yes, you will find more spectacular churches in Austria than this interior but none with such a historyas the Hapsburgs' parish church. Go to the 11 AM mass for the full orchestra service. Remember to dress appropriately for this religious service. You need an appointment to visit the crypt of the hearts where those of the royal family are encased...

I visited St Augustine's Church (Augustinerkirche) as part of my 5 full-day visit to Vienna and enjoyed it somewhat. It was one of the few churches I had planned to visit in the city and, after my time in Vienna, my limited selection proved justified as I don't think that many are that special.

I am compiling an extensive...

Another Beautiful Church. Unfortunately, the memory of one kind of runs into that of another, so all I can say is to visit briefly each church you see and you will not be disappointed.
