Happens every year and there is a lot to see. A market place near Turku Cathedral is full of actors that are dressed and that are acting like they were from Medieval time. There is also a lot of crafts you can buy.

Medieval market didn't give that much for me. There's nothing really that wrong in there but wasn't my thing. Lot's of crowd and quite frankly the "medieval" stuff there is quite exppensive i think. Allthough some of them are crafted right there. But hey, it's free so if you happen to be in Turku at the time, check it out

Turku Medieval Market has become my favourite event of the year in Turku. You don't have to DO anything: just take a walk and enjoy the atmosphere. I like how it sounds, tastes, smells and looks like.

This is the best (and original) Medieval Market in Finland. There´s free theathre shows at the market: knights, priests, merchants, old-time citicens, executioner etc. among the people. Be aware, you might be surprised!

A fun fair really, similar to the Turku X-mas market or the Turku Herring market. I best liked the overpriced grilled porkbratwursts.

So, like I said, the market is held only a stones throw away from the centrum. Not 6,9km, like it said on the info. It's REALLY a worth a visit.
