It has just been renovated and the golden domes an sparkling... The church is on top of hill watching over Helsinki. You can see the protestant city cathedral from the yard.

Impessive architecture, peaceful and beautiful inside, the Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral is there to remind, that Russia passed from Finland.Really is worthwhile to visit it ! Uspenski Cathedral is located near tte harbour, City Hall, Kauppatori square and Stockmanns shopping centre.A small but beautiful park is next to the church.

This impressive building can be seen from many places in Helsinki in all its glory. It's absolutely worth a visit just to get up close and to see the inside. But it's an incredible view from afar too.

Very interesting looking cathedral but sadly closed when I arrived. It is not too far from the harbour area and market.

Uspenski Cathedral - you can't miss it. Nor should you. This is fine architecture and an amazing space for reflection or worship.

This is a wonderful old orthodox church, with an impressing and authentic atmosphere inside, and a wonderful panoramic view around the town of Helsinki outside. Definitely a must if you are in Helsinki!

The Cathedral was quite high up from where we were. We got off from tram NO. 4 stop and took the main path, through the park, led us to the many steps which we had to climb to reach the Cathedral. Climb some stairs and find the doors closed. Many days it can happen. Better take pictures from the harbour and cross the bridge of love!
