Must see that historical buildings and monuments, galleries, yacht harbours and museums. The best of it is the Nordic Museum - with large collection of social history items of Sweden

It is called "Island of museums" - and it really is! A full day is not enough to see all of them. Unfortunately? Vasa museum was closed for reconstruction, but other museums also deserve your attention

Go to the cafe there - (Rosendals Tradgarder) - the menu is very limited but the setting is wonderful. There's a plant nursery there as well selling flowers.

We liked Skansen, the historical part and Nodic Zoo. There was a new Abba Museum which we missed the opening by one day.

I spent the whole day there walking, sitting, enjoying, eating and just nothing doing. I guess it's perfect place for couples, friends, families and singles. Skansen is the best. Families can visit also Tivoli plus Junibakken etc....

Skansen is a lot of fun. The first open-air museum, bears and elk, peacocks and a lovely church with little angels on the ceiling.
