Given the long Swedish tradition in natural sciences I was worried the place would be old and stuffy. Quite the opposite. There has been a major revamp to bring in modern technology and design to the traditional area of natural history collections. Sure, some of the material is still turn of the (last) century, but the staff are to be... More

Very intresting zoological Museum, especially for the children, of course. But adults will also be interesting. In the museum is located cinema Cosmanova and I recommend buy an ticket - Museum + cinema (it is cheaper than taking two separately). Necessarily have to visit a cinema, this is great fun. A little informtion about Cosmanova "Cosmonova's projection dome is 23... More

Today's visit was a long promised, but often overlooked intention over the last 4 years or so.. It's well worth it - fascinating displays, photographic possibilities and lots of space. The downstairs cloakroom (bring a 10 SEK coin - refundable) is useful as it is quite warm wandering around the exhibits so being able to stow coats is useful. The... More

It was really huge museum, much bigger than I except. There is a lot walking and places with no elevator access. Not all things had english description. Maybe there would have been english MP3 tour. It was more for kids I think than for two adults but I think it is nice that I got to see it and university... More

We liked there. It is a place where one can learn a lot while going through the exhibition. Standing by the side of dinosaurs' skeletons or sculptures of prehistorical humans allows experience an extra dimension which is not available when one is reading a books or watching a film. One can also watch short films related to the different aspects... More

Natural history museum in Stockholm is a brilliant one. Not only because a diverse set of excellent taxidermy of hundreds of species but also because the way of design. The decoration was so interesting and a lot to do and learn for kids and adults as well. We had a lot of fun there and spent approximately 5 hours. The... More

I have been several times in the museum. I is a huge place and takes a lot of time to visit. I usually go there couple of hours before visit to cosmonova. Some times I get a feeling that it is build more for kinds when general museum. But still worth visiting. More difficult to visit in winter because they... More

They take you here when you are in the lower grades in school. I remember the bottles and jars with strange forms in them and the big room with the whale skeletons and a disconcerting smell. These days it's modernised with lots of interactive stations and great displays with photos, models of animals etc. There is also an IMAX cinema... More
