Most people are surprised at the amount of woods and forests so close to Copenhagen. The park is about 1100 ha plus more at the north end of the park.
It's a great space and has options for MTB, Horse riding and walking.
Hard to imagine having this as ones (Royal) Hunting ground. Great place to go in all seasons....

This is a great day out. Train to Klampenborg station, direct from the city and you're there. Lots of wild deer, beautiful old trees - if you have time, walk out to the coast as well and if you're on a bike, ride back to Hellerup along the water. Don't miss the little groovy Arne Jacobsen designed petrol station on...

This fair is in a butifull park with wild reindeers. A horse ride from the station to the fair. This fair has meny activities like Tivoli, except for the butifull garden.
Well worth a visit if you are in Copenhagen. Not expensive and provides a good insight into Danish History. The Crown Jewels are impressive. Worth visiting around 11.15-11.30 to see the Royal Guards setting off to change with their Counterparts at the Royal residence.

Free entry and funny attractions for all ages. Not as classy as Tivoli in central CPH but also lower prices.
Dyrehaven has an amusement park, with a lot of nice rides. It is only open in the summer. There are no entry fees and you only pay for the rides you go into. The park around is also very nice for a walk during summer
Visit "Dyrehaven" all year - it is always worth to walk around or take the bike. Lots of deers to watch. Also the oldest danish Golf course is there. Then there is the Eremitage Castle which is nice to see as well. You can also find a place to get a beer or a lunch.
