Under heavy construction for the time being - a new Metro station is be build occupying half the square and block for some of the views
There is a lot of construction going on at Radhuspladsen right now. This won't be done for a couple more years. While the town hall is beautiful and the square is nice for vendors and such on a warm day, the construction is loud and it makes for a less than peaceful place.
It is a beautiful place in the center of the city! The town hall is an amazing building itself and it's also close to two other statues and the amazing Tivoli gardens.
fantastic area located in the heart of Copenhagen. Full of artist/musician especially during the weekends. There's also a Andersen statue right next to it. Loads of shopping to do along streets nearby!
The spot itself is not much to see, unless there are anything being arranged there, which happens from time to time. One of the times i passed it, there was a olabil-rally (soapbox car rally?), which was fun. Besides that, you can of course see the Raadhus (council hall) here, some statues and Tivoli.
Not much to see right now. This place is under construction at the moment. The entry to the shopping streets and thus your tour around Copenhagen would probably lead you through here.
Central City squares are often brilliant as traffic islands, look good on postcards, have memories of imperial splendour.. or are a building site.
Here in Copenhagen it's the latter! The side between the Palace Hotel and the City Hall is being relaid (possibly new works underground as well). So chaos! The Tivoli side is OK.
Square seemed to come alive...

i just hope it will gets better when the new metro station opens sometime in 2147
Excellent during St. Patricks day festivities. Live music, dancing, and great atmosphere. Definitely enjoyable.
