If you are interested in Byzantine culture well this is your place to be (the oriental branch of the Roman empire). Well after your museum show around there is a "secret" garden that can host your after museum questionings

This was a well laid out museum with interesting displays and a great deal of information. Most exhibit displays were in English as well as Greek. We only spent an hour and a half here and enjoyed it more than the Archaeological Museum. Pay attention to the combination tickets and the free museum days. We bought a combination ticket and... The museum has a welcoming (and English speaking) staff and a clear layout. There is lots of artifacts from the times of the Early Church. Highly recommended.

As Thessaloniki has very rich history, you can see it in the museum. First I would recommend to visit Archaeological Museum, when this. It has very interesting exposition halls arrangement. The museum has great collection of exhibits, which start from pieces of ancient columns and finish with icons and byzantine coins.
