Having bought the Lisboa Viva card for 6 Euro per 24 hours unlimited travel I had several rides on the trams and they were a fabulous experience. My partner and I observed two elderly male pickpockets in action. The man sparse with dyed black hair with the large hooked nose had an arm out of his cream coloured jacket sleeve... More

They're so traditional in their yellow exterior and wooden interior. They are a signature of Lisbon. They are frequent and fast. Especially line 28 takes you along very picturesque landmarks. They're expensive if you don't have a multi-ride card.

Trams and funiculars are the old side of Lisbona and deserve absolutely a ride. They are cheap, like all the public transports in Lisbona) and they bring you practically everywhere with the possibility to to a complete circuit of the City without any kind of problem. This part of the visit is highly reccomende

A great way of seeing Lisbon and getting to the castle. There are more hills in Lisbon than seem possible. The older trams are rickety but still have all original features and passenger s appear to have great fun enjoying the ride.

Good way to get around -- just be sure to buy tickets in advance at one of the kiosks -- much cheaper.

Great to feel the real mood of the city. There are at least 2 great routes where you will find the old city gems. Buy a ticket before boarding or you will pay double. Beware of pickpockets that are probably on every tram (not kidding) but don't miss it.

You shouold try at least one of the trams in Lisbon. A lovely way to let you relax and feel the city without stress. At your eyes, when in a funicular, you have antique wall details at a no distance, texturized walls with its crackled painting, witnessing the passing time, the faded colours that make Lisbon a wonderful patchwork of...
