We could not get a seat and the ride was bumpy, go when it's not busy (not sure when this would be) otherwise would recommend just strolling around instead. Also we were strongly warned to be on guard for pick pockets on this tram, so beware.

Picked the tram up just 2 stops from the end then got back on at the Church and had a bumpy but exhilerating journey back down. Tram 28 stopped right outside our rental apartment and since Lisbon is very hilly this was a great way to travel. It can get very crowded at certain times of day but we did not have any trouble on it and people were very courteous.

A travel in time, the old trams are simply wonderful. Excellent views, a very calm and intimate stroll. I hope they never change! It is like going for a ride in the past. Very enjoyable!

It's a tram ride. I'd rather walk and not have a billion tourists swing their backpacks in my face every 5 minutes. So in the future I'll just take pictures when it drives by.

This is the best way to see the hilly parts of the city. A bit crowded, but fun! We liked the atmosphere and the authentic old cable cars!
