Don't take the tram up - walk the streets. The views over the city and worth the walk. Great photo op, especially near sunset.

It's worth it to see but the ticket is quite expensive about 7 euro. You can have a nice walk on the wall of the castle and enjoy the views to Lisbon. It was surprising to see from the short distance beautiful peacocks.
A bit too crowded by tourists. Well conserved and taken care of, clean. At some point it is a bit risky (climbing on high walls and very low veranda protections).
The castle was a surprising delight offering panoramic views from the walls of the castle. The delightful cool of the dappled shade of the piazza in front of the castle still allows the views more comfortably on a hot sunny day.
The castle and its surrounds are very well worth seeing, and not just for the spectacular views. The buildings themselves are very well preserved and presented, A fascinating insight into Lisbon's past.
The climb up the hill through the narrow old streets was amazing, but hard work. Take your time and take some water if the weather is warm! There...

Took a tour here , it was awesome . The castle is nice . You get to walk all over the castle and the views are spectacular . You can see all of lisbon from here. There a old canons sitting every where . You can imagine you lived then.
My boyfriend and I joke that once you've seen one castle you've seen them all. This is true to a certain degree, but the views are always breathtaking and I can't get enough of seeing the ancient architecture and how our ancestors lived. It was worth the hike up the hill, again :).:).
its a quite a walk up the hills and small streets, but really worth going as teh views are amazing:)
The tram ride and walk up and down to the castle is wonderful, but the grounds are not especially informative relative to the other Lisbon sites.
This castelo is very interesting....we enjoyed climbing around the walls and also visiting the gift shop.
