Admittedly, you are likely to see every other tourist in Brussels there, snapping pictures, enjoying a drink, or shopping for chocolate, but this is the must see tourist attraction of this European Capitol. The architecture is simply stunning.

It was said that the place is the old city's town hall. It is surrounded by tall beautiful buildings, and one of them is the residence of the legendary Victor Hugo.

All the restaurants set out their tables in the Place, there are flower and artist stalls, and most of Brussels ends up there. The atmosphere is brilliant,and there is music everywhere.

Beautiful at night, many pubs and caffes to sit and enjoy the stay. In the morning quite empty but in the afternoon many people walking around with delicious brussel waffles :)

Well worth a visit, beautifully preserved full of kitch with statues and gold plating. If you like architecture this is a good place to see. Loads of tourist watering holes around as well.

Typical European city center, surrounded by historical buildings which look quite welcoming in contrast to the cold faced EU headquarters also situated in this city. Very lively ambience the whole day. Nice food can alsıo be found in the restaurants with sensible prices. Every visitors first stop in Brussels.

This is another place to which I take my travelign companions who have never been to Brussels. Regardless of the time of year, whether spring or summer or the dead of winter, it's always full of people and fun to see. A favorite Brussels restaurant is on the GP, and the view off the plaza is pleasant as we dine.

We travel all over Europe and this square is a WOW! At night starting around 10 pm the buildings are lit in different colors on a about a 15 second interval. The buildings themselves are gorgeous. There are restaurants and chocolate shops on the ground floor.
