I would really recommend a slow stroll through the city to the museum. The paintings are arranged in date order with sections relating to specific periods in Van Gogh's life. You will recognise so many of the paintings but nothing compares to seeing the real canvas right in front of you. More

We walked from our hotel in the middle of town through the beautiful parks to this museum What an experience. - wonderful architecture and the crowds although large were easily accommodated. Paintings were even better than I imagined. You are not allowed to take photos (fair enough) but there were still some ignorant people who took pics with their phones.... More
