Many unique buildings surround this square. A brilliant mix of architecture, modern shops and restaurants. More

Nothing much special about this square. You will go there, as a tourist, to go to other places but personally I would not go here just for the square. More

If ever I was to be a city dweller - Amsterdam is the place I'd love to live in. As far as capitals go (being the financial one) it's not massive and very secluded along the many canals etc. When you hit Dam it's one massive open cobbled space with the Koninklijk Paleis as a backdrop. Our weekend coincided with... More

It's really the heart of amsterdam, but it's really nothing special. Around the square there are a lot of brand shops and souvenir things. There is also a really big shoppingcentre, Bijenkorf. It's really a must-see when you like make-up and bags. There are some coffecorners in the area, but really not cosy. It's a good place to shop, but... More

There was a lot of talk about this, but I thought it was only ok. It's just a big square in the heart of town. Perhaps if I went into the old buildings I may have been more interested. But it was ok to sit and have lunch at. More

A huge magnificent square definately worth a look. It's one of the key sights to visit in Amsterdam. Lots of shops and cafes here too. More

Some beautiful buildings, shopping, restaurants, but nothing to write home about. There is a super charming little jewelry store on the opssite side of the church that borders this square though. It's tiny, but worth checking out! More
