It's really the heart of amsterdam, but it's really nothing special. Around the square there are a lot of brand shops and souvenir things. There is also a really big shoppingcentre, Bijenkorf. Some beautiful buildings, shopping, restaurants, but nothing to write home about. There is a super charming little jewelry store on the opssite side of the church that borders this square though. It's tiny, but worth checking out! More

such a beautiful place with such a great history are now an amusement park for tivoli,, drunk or just noisy people and tourists. why not have a lovely outdoor cafe/brasserie great plants and flowers use the space better. architecture to die for. More
