I stayed two nites at Wengen, Alpenruhe Kulm hotel which offers amazing view of the Alphine village due to its uphill location. On my way up to Wengen, at Lauterbrunnen, I parked my luggage with the train station for 3CHF and took the cable car up to Murren (10.8CHF @half fare). Lovely resort village, with pretty timber houses. Under gd... More

great cinema for such a small place with very friendly staff, shame there's an interval though. Definitely worth a visit nonetheless.

Wengen is higher up in the mountains of Switzerland. We travelled during winter, and enjoyed being in the snow covered mountains. A good time to visit would be in January when the ski competitions are on.

We stayed at Hotel Bernerland in Wengen. Hotel has a super restaurant and is reasonable. Wengen is picture postcard beautiful. Had an absolute ball up the Jung Frau. Very expensive to get up their. But what a blast we had on the Tobagon's and tubes.

A local cinema which has been kept going by local people. We loved the cosy atmosphere of this small private cinema

We have stayed in the area 3 times now with the first two trips being shorter stays... More

A quiet little village with a few souvenir shops you can cover in an hour or two. You can take a trip up to Jungfrau top of Europe or a cable car ride up to Maenlicchen where you get a view of all the mountains here. See Eiger, Jungfrau, Schilton and other mountains from there! You can choose to take... More

Wengen is a small town situated up in the Alps overlooking the town of Lauterbrunnen and about 45 minutes from well knows Interlaken. Best know for one of the major skiing World Cup events; the location is ideal for those that want the true Swiss Alp experience. It is a stop on the very popular Jungfrau train with easy access...
