Well sign-posted from Grindlewald station, the trail takes you to the Bussalp Restaurant in 2 to 3 hours of hiking through fabulous scenery with great views of the surrounding mountains. The terrace of the restaurant overlooks the Eiger, Munch & Jungfrau. The perfect place for a drink and to soak up the views.

Go to Bussalp! We're not big skiiers, and the sledding here makes the winter outdoor experience fun and exciting for everyone. The sledding is exhilarating, and you can stop anytime to enjoy the most beautiful views in the world. The first time you go, the logistics can be a little confusing, so let me give a quick overview: Buy a... More

Catch the bus up from grindelwald, do some free snow tubing, hire a sled and follow the family trail of walking and sledding. Stop half way and have a gluwein, great fun day for non skiers.

We walked to Bussalp from Grindelwald, then back again. It was quiet tough actually, we climbed around 1,100m in vertical altitude in total, which was more than we had expected. But the views were great, the paths were good and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant at the top was really needed for some cake and coffee. It made the... More

The most exciting bus ride we have experienced. 30 min drive up to Bussalp and several hours scenic hike to Grindelwald. Gorgeous view of Jungfrau, Eiger, Silverhorn.... LOVED a huge amount of cows with all kinds of beautiful bells around their necks along the trail, which literally were laying on the road, don't be scared to pass. Some of them... More

I stayed in Grindelwald for 9 nights from Aug. 24th and visited several view points including Mannlichen, Pfingstegg, First, Schilthorn, Almendhubel and Jungfraujoch. Bussalp is one of my favorite places. I didn't have time to hike(I wish I had), but walked up 10-15 minutes from the Busalp bus stop. I loved the views of Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau and an... More

Its fun to ride here on the mountain bus, and the restaurant at the top has a terrace with amazing views and is the start point for some challenging walks

We love the views of the Eiger, Munch, and Jungfrau. And it's a wonderful trip up by bus. You can either admire the view and go back by bus, walk to Bort to have lunch, walk in the other direction and enjoy the scenery, and more. We like the coffee and drinks on the terrace, but weren't impressed by the... More
