Great for fondue in the winter (they create a closed terrace that they take down in the springtime) and for weekend brunch / afterwork food and drinks in the summer. Also good for lunch. Very cheap food and always a cooky cast of characters. Sometimes they have special events that are quite good - like early morning jazz sessions in... More

It's a fantastic place where all walks of life of Geneva society meet, from the artist to the UN staffer ... beautifully located on the lakeshore, friendly staff in the "buvette", good food ("plat du jour/soir") and the perfect place for a swim or after-work stay in summer.

For a 2 CHF fee you get access to a small pebble beach in Lake Geneva, for sunbathing, swimming in the lake and simple food and drinks. Worth the money if you have a little time off.

Get some nice sun there, lay down and enjoy a relaxing time, or swim a bit. If that doesn't suit you well, then sit down and enjoy drinks/snacks there...

Been here a few times, in the dead of winter. The walk across the long bridge is very exposed, and can be downright Baltic. Inside however, long, communal tables, and the warmth of great food, and a great atmosphere. Have the fondue - it's the best in town, and a bargain.

Bain des Paquis (or BDP) is a very nice and popular place for locals to sunbathe and swim during the long summer days. Its a very bohemian place, with people smoking or drinking beers throughout the day, which may be worth keeping in mind if that isn't your kind of scene.

In summers they have different plates everyday around 10CHF, which is quite low in Geneva. In winters they make fondue, which I personally think is pretty good. In both occasions it is one of the nice places you can go to in the area. In summers you need to pay 2CHF to enter during the day(because of the beach)

This was a top find for us as we really felt like locals here! There was so much going on! I believe that originally it was just the sauna and baths but it has become a meeting place / cafe / restaurant for the locals. We saw a photo exhibition, a film crew and a group protesting against racism just... More

Walk along the pier, there is a massage / sauna / spa area that I didn't sample. Great food, benches and hard uncovered tables may upset some people, but I always look to see where the locals eat, and obviously this is where the normal (not rich) locals go for dinner. Every fondue in Geneva seems to cost around 25,... More
