Just has to be done I suppose when in Tuscany, go and have a look and have a photo taken holding the tower up or pushing it over as you see fit! Yes, it’s silly but fun and you don’t feel daft because everyone else is doing it! Be prepared to be pestered constantly though by ‘street vendors’ trying to... More

Well, "The Miracle Square"...is a like a very big large canvas with The Leaning tower of PISA, Baptistery, Cathdral and Camposanto...all of them in this beautiful breadth-taking view. Some suggestions from me when you travel here is as follows 1. After parking your vehicle, you can either walk to "The Miracal Square" or take a bus. I suggest you take... More

The Tower is a very impressive building and does not look real, you have to keep looking because you are sure it will fall down. very clean and very large grounds. Was worth the trip.

After traversing the larger cities around Italy, Pisa was a welcomed relief. Laid back, quaint and very accessible. Our stop at the Leaning Tower is among one of my favorite aspects of the trip!

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is worth a visit just so you can say that you've seen it in person. Of course, the usual photo of yourself holding up the Tower is a nice, if pedestrian, souvenir. But Pisa is also the home of the University of Pisa. (Italian Tenor Andrea Bocelli, an attorney, got his degree there.) A school... More

enjoy taking pictures of you with the tower but be prepared for the hoards of other perople doing the exact same thing - you can book to climb up the tower for @ 18 Euros although the sight itself is something awe inspiring

Great Morning visit on way to Lucca, great fun taken pics holding up the tower, I know, a bit daggy sports fans, but great fun, followed by stand gealati fix after climb. As the for the rest of Pisa, not really worth the time.

We went early in the morning to escape the crowds and it was fantastic. The harkers are kept out of the area - which we found nice. The food and drink price is not over top - just watch out for the service charge, we paid 15% for bad service and poor food.

Was a bit pricey but would definitely suggest walking to the top to see the top of the tower and the views over Pisa!

We did a half day tour of Pisa, with Albatravel Group Firenze (Gartours), which was booked by our travel agent. We left the bus and walked the distance to the walled area where the Tower, the Piazza del Duomo (and Cathedral), Baptistery and Cemetery were located. We opted to have the entry to the Tower included in our tour price.... More
