The interior, with works by artists such as Titian, Veronese, Tintoretto, A.Vittoria and Tiepolo, includes vast council chambers, superbly decorated residential apartments, and austere prison cells. Along the facades of the Palace run loggias that overlook St. Mark’s Square and the lagoon. In a competition to see how many people you can get in a square San Marco would win hands down yet it still is possible to wander around freely and find space to enjoy the atmosphere. Avoid the cafes around the square as they are expensive and the ones with live music add a tarif to you bill for listening... More

This place was really cool! We toured this on our own and there was so much to see. They even have prison cells for you to go in. Amazing! Great value. One ticket gets you into 4 places on St. Mark's Square. We only had time for 2 and they were worth it.

Views of the building and grand canal are great but it is a major tourist destination and crowded with people and vendors. Get there early for the best experience.

We went into the Palazzo expecting to see some of titian's great paintings. Unfortunately there was a 'separate' Manet exhibition on at the time (June 2013) and the Palazzo was partitioned off. regretably the Titian's were in the the Manet section, no one there knew even though we asked when buying the tickets. To cap it all the toilets (just... More

This is a must see and is included in the museum combo ticket. The highlight is crossing "The Bridge of Sights" to the prison. There are special exhibits all the time during the summer. We saw The Manet Exhibit which was an additional 13€ or 11€ for seniors over 65. It was totally worth it!

Stunning architecture, decoration and interesting history. Shame the staff don't seem to have been on customer service training as we were made to feel we were a nuisance for even buying a ticket! Ignore that and enjoy strolling round the rooms and prison.

So glad we saw this wonderful building with it gorgeous rooms and beautiful artwork. We took a tour of the prisons and the bridge of Sighs using the audio guide which was very informative. There was no wait to get in and the morning seemed to be the best time.

Over the years we have visited many European palaces and government facilities and this has to rank either number one or close to it. The architecture, art, and history is exceptional. The wealth of Venice during its peak is readily visible though out. One can feel the emotion a prisoner must have felt as he walked over the Bridge of... More

An interesting and pretty palace even if you just visit the public rooms. The architecture and decorations are awe-inspiring in the 21st century; imagine how the medieval visitors reacted! See how observant the hordes on the bridge outside are by waving from inside the bridge of sighs; will anyone notice you? The secret itinerary tour takes you into the upper... More

Incredible visit and the you may opt to pay $10 EUR to get the headset and detailed tour information. The artistry and architecture is absolutely astounding. The history is detailed in each room so allow 2 hours to enjoy a thorough tour. Also, recommended for a rainy day since the majority of the tour is either in the palace or... More
