Views on the walk up are worth it and you see some exclusive residences too! (enough to turn you quite green!) The path is...

During the International Poetry Festival at Orta at the end of September, the poets visit the chapels of the Sacro Monte one of the days and read some of their poems inside or outside most of the chapels. Fascinating.. You can join in and listen to some of the best poets in the world today.
