The condition of the house, the furniture and paintings are very well kept.. we spend 2 hours there .. It was a visit that took as back in time to live the life of the owners with their families, hobbies etc.. I would highly recommend a visit to this museum

Beautiful collection, very well preserved and exhibited. Especially the armor room was impressive. Audio guide is detailed and informative.

Some interesting stuff, but perhaps not worth €8 unless you have an interest in urban stately homes. The attached restaurant is fantastic, although very expensive...

This museum is interesting as a look at the way many rich Milanese families lived before the war. Much of Milan was flattened by bombs in the war and of the 150 palazzi before the war only 44 remain today. It was built by 2 brothers, who were immensely rich, using much recycled material from churches and in a renaissance... More

Stepping from the 21st century bustle in the middle of the most famous shopping area in Milan into the peaceful beauty of the Renaissance. In the 19th century the wealthy Bagatti Valsecchi brothers turned their home into a private Renaissance Palazzo. Their family continued to live their up to the late 20th century. Then they moved just across Via San... More

I was able to enter this musuem for free, because of the Musei Aperti 2012, courtesy of Rotary Club Milano, but i would have gladly paid the entrance fee after seeing the artwork in the collection...i underestimated the size of the house, knowing i could easily spend a whole day to appreciate everything fully...i specially liked the unique ceilings of... Milano does not like to show off his treasures.... does not need to do it and it is not in his style. Paying a visit to MIlano do not miss this historic house museum and the collections of paintings, furnishingsweapons and armour kept inside this fantastic house

Quite a unique, privately owned museum which used to be the home of an aristocratic Milanese family until the 1950s and has conserved most of its original appearance. Expect no masterpieces as in the Brera gallery, but a marvellously eclectic collection of high quality objects of the most diverse origins - from medieval arms to baroque children's toys. And if... It's an old family home converted in a museum, just like Poldi Pezzoli. This one is a little smaller, but richer in details and a little more baroque. Very nice, worths a visit.

In the mid 1800s 2 wealthy brothers decided to turn their home into a 16thC renaissance villa. They did a stupendous job of decorating and it is delightful to take a trip back in time. (Mod cons are tucked away --- they actually did have running water for their bathroom, but it isn't obvious). The ceramics, paintings and attention to... More
