this is a gorgeous, old church on a hill top. We were awed at its beauty, then upon going inside to hear the monks magical voice singing and praying gave me chills in my spine and love in my heart.

The church is full of history and art and is situated on a hill from where you can have a magnificient view of all cost of cinque terre and view on historical centre of Monterosso. It is like to be in heaven!

The walk from the village to this church and around the cemetery is quite easy, and certainly worth it. Great views of Monterosso and the coast line.

Could possibly be one of the most beautiful churches I've seen in Europe! We accidentally stumbled upon this while we were walking around the city & in the process of holding mass... we could not help but walk in and pay our respects to the church because it was truly so stunning. Must see!

We walked back from the Church down the step hill. Not for the faint hearted but at least it was going down hill. We caught the bus up and walked back.

Were we ever surprised to happen upon this lovely Church. The path leading up to the church is so serene and the view of the town and ocean is spectacular. The church is so peaceful and when we entered we could hear a monk chanting some prayers which was very moving. We then continued to walk up the path to... More

You can't beat this. Ok the church itself isn't particularly beautiful but it's mystical and has a lovely set of old pieces of art and ironwork scattered around outside, not to mention the lovely cemetery and the famous statue on a rocky promontory.

We walked up to the church about mid morning and found ourselves the only visitors so it was peaceful and charming. The views are wonderful and the church was quite atmospheric with recorded music being played as we took in the statues and paintings. The nearby cemetery is also well worth a wander, it brings the local history into play... More
