Sorrento is an amazing place for almost any type of traveller! I have only spent there one day, but I surely was impressed by the great landscape and the lovely traditional Italian city - narrow streets, thousands of souvenirs, lots of restaurants with delicious food. Punta del Capo is a place you shouldn't miss if you want to take brilliant... More

We love staying at Hotel Elios in Sorrento and then going to the sight on the Punta del Capo is such a treat. We always discover something new each time we go. Looking forward to getting back. We will be there this June.

We walked there from Sorrento. We took a detour from the path down following a sign to an American Bar, it led to a precarious looking bridge and pathway blocked by a barrier. A very rocky bay lay next to it where people made their way gingerly into the sea from rock ledges. We then went up and around the... More

this is a gorgeous spot and easy to reach by local bus. once of the bus though there is a good walk downhill (remember you have to hike back up!) and it is rock bathing. tip would be to take rock/water shoes as getting into the water is tricky without them. also take a yoga style mat for lying on.... We hiked down twice during our stay in Sorrento. The walk was a little work but not too difficult. You can veer off onto a trail that will take you to your own ocean inlet and swim out into the sea or bypass that and check out the Roman ruins out on the point. If you hike farther you will... More

We went to private beach but I recommend to go public part (the bay) There is not too much places for sitting and resting but the water is really good. It was the most beautiful sea that I swam near to Sorrento.

Idyllic surroundings, masses of photo opportunities. You could even swim. Go before you visit Pompeii and Herculaneum, which are so vast by comparison. The walking on the road is a bit worrying, just be sensible.
