I am very interested in art but this gallery was almost totally of religious art- I do not know if the artists of Girona only did religious works.
Lovely building with too many stairs, though there was a lift which we used to go to the top then worked our way down. The exhibits are arranged historically though so if you do that then you're working your way backwards. I think this art museum would be perfect for someone very interested in art and perhaps religious art. I went with friends who loved it. I dont know if Girona, Spain is the place to see amazing masterpieces
The Girona Art Museum is just by the Cathedral in Barri Vell and is absolutely worth a visit. This museum is located right next to the Cathedral and has great views of it if you peek out the windows. The entrance fee is cheap (we paid 2 euros each). You start on the first floor with religious art from the 10th-14th centuries, then move your way up to the fifth floor that has some 19th an 20th century... More
